Terms of Service
Last updated: September 30, 2026
These terms apply to your use of ShipSloth. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
ShipSloth is operated by HonestDev (Thomas Oomens), based in the Netherlands. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. The service
ShipSloth helps you prepare an app for the App Store and Google Play: screenshots, store listings, translations, covers and reels. Some features use AI and run on credits. We may improve, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance.
3. Your account
You must give accurate details, keep your password safe and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your projects. Tell us if you suspect unauthorised use.
If you connect third-party accounts such as App Store Connect, Google Play or social networks, you confirm you are allowed to do so and that you follow those platforms' rules.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or generate unlawful content or content that infringes other people's rights
- try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or get around limits and credits
- use the service to send spam or to mislead app store users
- resell access to the service without our written permission
We may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to what you upload and create, such as app metadata, screenshots and text. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the providers described in our privacy policy.
You are responsible for having the rights to the material you upload.
6. AI output
Some results are generated by AI models run by third-party providers. Output can be wrong, incomplete or similar to output given to other users. Review it before you publish it. You are responsible for what you submit to the App Store, Google Play or any other platform. As between you and us, you may use the output for your own apps, subject to the terms of the model providers and the law.
7. Credits, plans and payments
Free features are available without payment. AI features consume credits. You get starter credits when you sign up, and you can buy credit packs or a subscription. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where it applies.
When payments are enabled, they are processed by Polar, which acts as our merchant of record and handles payment details, invoices and tax. We never see your full card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
If an AI generation fails, the credits for it are returned. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, except where the law says otherwise.
8. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Credits and subscriptions are digital content or services that we deliver immediately. When you buy them you ask us to start straight away and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the credits are delivered or, for a subscription, once the service has been fully performed, or, if you use part of it, in proportion to what you have used. Your statutory rights for defective or non-conforming services stay unaffected.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep ShipSloth available but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may carry out maintenance and may change or discontinue parts of the service.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and your statutory consumer rights.
Otherwise our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit, lost data or rejected app submissions. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important material.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using ShipSloth and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Unused paid credits are not refunded on termination by you, unless the law requires it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to the court where you live. Consumers in the EU can also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
