Cookie Statement
Last updated: September 30, 2026
ShipSloth uses only cookies and browser storage that are needed to make the site work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way for this purpose.
2. What we use
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in (strictly necessary)
- A language cookie that remembers whether you view the site in English or Dutch (strictly necessary for your choice)
- Local storage entries for interface preferences, such as the colour theme and recently used items in the editor (functional, stay on your device)
These do not require consent under the Dutch Telecommunications Act, which is why we show no cookie banner.
3. Analytics
Our self-hosted Umami analytics sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. It is switched off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
4. Third-party content
All fonts are served from our own servers, so no font provider sees your IP address. If you connect Google or other services, or pay through Polar, those providers set their own cookies on their own pages under their own policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you cannot sign in.
